Graduation Dinner

Anzac Day Commemoration

Al-Faisal College hosted a graduation dinner for the year 12 graduates and their parents as a token of appreciation of the students' hard work and effort and their parents'  support and encouragement. It was a wonderful night where the school executives, teachers, students and parents celebrated together their achievements.  Th year 12 students, families and school executives exchanged photos and memories of the wonderful days they spent together at Al-Faisal College.

In recognition of Children’s Book Week, students participated in a number of literacy based activities to inspire and encourage them to read more books. We also had the famous and renowned author Mr John Heffernan present our students from Yrs 3-6 an engaging and lively presentation. He also read excerpts from some of his books such as the Spud series, Battle Boy, My dog and many more..

 

On 12 April 2017, Al-Faisal College commemorated ANZAC Day with a special school assembly. Honorable guests and the Secretary of the Sub branch of the Auburn Returned Services and League of Australia, RSL, Mr R. Inglis joined Al-Faisal College executives, staff and students to commemorate ANZAC Day and to remember the selfless acts of Australian soldiers during World War One.

RUA Workshop

STEM - After School Code It Yourself Club

Al-Faisal College students and parents donated hundreds of toys that were delivered to children in Fairfield hospital and Liverpool hospital.

Every year, since 2014, Al-Faisal College has been participating in the Respect, Understanding and Acceptance (RUA) workshop held by the NSW Jewish Board of Studies. This is a great opportunity for our students to meed year 9 students from other schools with different faith, culture and religion. The students get along with comfort and ease, they all participate in a number of group and pair activities.

 

Al-Faisal College is proud to announce that an afterschool Coding Club (Code It Yourself) has commenced. Students from Years 3 – 6 will learn how to 3D print and design using TinkerCAD software.

Presentation Day

One of the major highlights of 2016 has been the celebration of Year 12, Class of 2016 Graduation Day. The hall was filled with joy, excitement and delight as our graduates made their grand entry. This was a special and memorable day. Congratulations Year 12! Best wishes for the HSC!

Kindergarten Graduation Day marks the conclusion of the first year of schooling for our Kindergarten students before they progress onto Stage 1, Year 1. Students celebrate their Graduation Ceremony by wearing a beautiful Royal Blue Graduation Gown and hats. They also move the tassel of their hats to the side once they have officially graduated.

Our Annual end of year presentation day acknowledges and applauds the hard work, effort and achievements of our students. Students are presented with a number of prizes, awards, trophies, medallions and special scholarships. Well done to our students and staff for their commitment and dedication!!!

Year 5 Justice Program

Anasheed Eid Assembly

A selection of Year 5 students attended a Justice Program held at The Law Society of New South Wales & NSW Supreme Courts. The aim of the workshop was to learn, discuss and explore topics such as:

• Human rights

• Poverty

• Refugees

• Animal rights

• Climate change

Al-Faisal College celebrated the upcoming Eid Adha with an Anasheed Eid Assembly which was attended by parents and family. What a beautiful way to end the term and we would like to wish all our students, parents and staff a Happy Eid!
