A trip to the Mini Italia
A group of 21 students along with two teachers - Mr Murthy and Ms Mihalatos, attended the Italian Forum on March 15. We were first introduced to Lily, our host and chef who analysed the process of tempering with chocolate. We used tempered chocolate to mould chocolate. After that, we received our very own pizza bases, on which we made our own pizza using the toppings provided. The pizzas were then put into the oven for baking. We were served with delicious lunch while we were waiting. We also enjoyed our own pizzas before sauntering outside to Lily's confectionery shop where most of the girls bought all types of lollies and treats. This was a memorable experience with food technology and really was an eye opener for me. Thank you to all those who were involved in making this excursion a success!
- Aazmi Alam - year 10
A day away from discrimination and hate. A day of peace and harmony. Celebrated every year on March 21st. It is a day in which everyone is celebrated and acknowledged, from their culture and background to their individual personality. Multiculturalism is what makes Australia Australia and without it we would be barren and empty. We learn, we teach, and we apply. This is what Multiculturalism means, and this is what Harmony symbolises.
